Headis Tournament #98 – #1 in Rotterdam!
Well this was one more very special Cup! The tournament seats were limited to 48 guys and 16 girls. Within less than 30 minutes the boys tournament was more than fully booked. Awesome! Start of the tournament: saturday 17:30 – so everything was set for a full Rotterdam weekend! On friday more than 20 players spend the night together in the city and made themselves familiar with the harbour city.
The tournament was extremly intense. Small, loud and Headis action all over the place until 23:30!
There were no massive surprises. The guys sticked to the seating:
The top 3 of the girls also sticked to it. Just Cabezaza who played her 7th tournament this year entered her first semifinal and ranked 4th!
Side note: The car from Cologne went home with Headsinfarkt + the Top 4 girls – so with 4 trophies! Quite an successful trip to the North Sea!
The Dutch Headis Movement got a huge push by the tournament! The players are more stoked than ever. The biggest Dutch newspaper put the tournament article on the front page and posted a video even during the tournament that got clicked a lot! Se the tournament edit HERE!

This year again a bunch of players played their first Headis tournament and thousands of people started playing! For some advice we set up a list with 100 steps to become the perfect Headis player. We start publishing the first 10 steps but it’s up to you, too!

At the 22.06.2015 the first school championship take place. The Headis-Crew going to visit the Rittersberg Gymnasium and offers workshops and championships for all schools in Kaiserslautern.
In 90 minutes intervals the best Headis players show a class (older than 7th grade) how to play and stage a small class tournament. First come first serve. Our capacity is unfortunately limited. All together we have time and place for 10 classes. The participation is certainly for free and the best players get a little prices. The inventor of Headis René will be there too. Just contact us via e-mail on info@headis.com and we discuss the further information.
The Midnight Madness in Darmstadt was the first world cup in Hessen and started with very nice 101 participants and many special offers besides the table. Additionally the SV Darmstadt 98 declared the opening of an Headis department in the club.

You see a lot of established players but a few new comers too. For example FuTaWe surprising against Haedité but Missing Pepper was one number to big for FuTaWe and the final opponent of Pepper was called Headinho. The first Bembel cup of this evening and and of all time won Pepper in a very clear game. But the fans of the 4th FuTaWe celebrate their star like a world champion.
On the male side Sniper Schorsch celebrated a big comeback in a nearly lost game against Lauchgesicht and entered the final against Headsinfarkt.. Sniper started, watched by the public viewing in Hannover via live stream started, well in the game but Headsinfarkt stroked back in the second set. In the deciding last set Sniper couldn´t come back like in the half final and Headsinfarkt own the match and was the second (first male) winner of the Midnight Madness and proud owner of an 1.5 liter Bembel cup. The both winners got additionally a new pair of Kangaroos shoes.
Finally we have to say we are hungry of more Midnight Madness made in Darmstadt!
In December, 2013 we founded Headição. Eversince the resonance is wonderful. Already in May 2014 we could go to Brazil, thanks to many donations and partners, to give children and youngsters of several facilities the possibility to play Headis.
The support is still without brakes and the next flights are booked. “Balls for Brazil” becomes “Balls for the World”! We cooperate with the boys of Café con Leche in the Dominican Republic, who do a high-class job. Again, we pack our tools and build as many ping pong tables as possible.
We are proud to have found several partners for Headição worldwide in such a short time. After the Dominican Republic, South Africa already knocks at the door. However, first it goes to Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic) in March to our new friends of Café con Leche. The project accompanies children from poverty quarters to a better future. Eight problem areas – including domestic violence, prostitution, drugs, racism – are addressed and counteracted. The problems, which in Germany one often only knows from the news, are omnipresent in the poverty quarters of Santo Domingo. We serve with pleasure our small share in creating a counterpole, sanctuary and a social perspective together with café con Leche, by sport.
An industrial area in the north-east of Kaiserslautern. It is cold and rainy. Bit by bit many young and a few older (old) people step down the stairway to the quite legendary “Löfft”, the headquarters in which the important decisions of the world (of Headis) are made. It will be the home of 20 men and 10 women for the weekend of the 17th and 18th of January, 2015. They qualified for the Masters by good tournament achievements in 2014 or received one of the popular Wildcards. In the “Löfft” they find a colorful Headisplatte, improved by spray artist Carl Kenz, begging to be played on with epic serves, stops and volleys.
The women’s finale develops clear, as “HB junger T” uses her experiences and triumphs after a tactically clever match against “Headité”, who delivers a great overall performance herself and who will certainly play a role in the coming world cup circus.
The men’s finale promises a great struggle: the pressure on both players is huge, Sniper could not celebrate a tournament victory since his success in Munich in 2014 and for Nosebraker it is only the second participation in a final. The urge to win glows on Sniper’s face, his stops come concentrated and his high risk plays pay off. Nosebraker braces himself against it, however, cannot prevent the loss of a set. After the side change Sniper turns up even more and offers the spectators a “Rampishow” par excellence. At last Sniper wins a match ball and therewith the victory is celebrated by the crowd. Then about half an hour later he stretches the “cup” formed by Carl Kenz to the storeroom’s roof.
